My Story
As a young child, I was captivated by the glass blowers at the Alaskan Annual State Fair. I pleaded with my mother to stay at the glass blowing booth for the entire time we were there, skipping all other Fair rides, booths, and events just to watch them work their craft.
Since that moment, I knew that I wanted to pursue glass blowing. In 2005, I took my first step towards this dream when I got my first credit card and used it to purchase a glass blowing kit, tools, and supplies. With limited resources available for learning, I taught myself how to blow glass through trial and error.
Living in rural Alaska made it even more challenging to find resources and other teaching opportunities, but I persisted. With a lot of hard work and determination, I now have a full studio and professional tools to create my glass art.
It's been a long and challenging journey, but it's also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful to have the opportunity to do what I love every day, and I'm excited to share my passion for glass blowing with others through my handmade creations.
